Fortunately, there are many ways you can do to clean the drain and the surface of the sink. No need for special tools or other liquids because baking soda and vinegar are effective for cleaning dirty areas.

Not only as an ingredient for baking dough, but the sodium carbonate content in baking soda is also alkaline. When reacting with vinegar, the carbon dioxide gas produced can effectively lift dirt off the sink in your house.

This natural material that is easily obtained and safe to use can clean the sink from stains, germs, and bacteria. Here's how to clean or remove dirt that is attached so that the sink is more hygienic when used.

  1. Open the sink drain cover
Lift the cover that is above the drain. If you use a pop-up stopper, rotate it counterclockwise to open it. Clean the rest of the food, hair, or other dirt collected at the top of the channel. Make sure the sink is empty when you start cleaning the drain.
  2. Flush the area that will be cleaned with water to expel germs that stick
Boiling water can be chosen to flush the drain. Boil water in a pan and pour it into a drain before cleaning. This initial watering is done so that the invisible bacteria that accumulate in the canal can be lost.
  3. Sprinkle baking soda in the area that has been watered earlier
You can directly pour baking soda into the drain and sink surface. The size is 1/2 cup (110 g) in the measuring cup. Pour slowly.
  4. Pour the white vinegar into the drain
So that the stain in the sink drain can be clean, pour 1/2 cup (120 ml) of white vinegar over the baking soda. This is done in order to create chemical reactions that can disinfect the channel. Baking soda will sizzle.
  5. Leave it for 10 minutes
Wait for the baking soda and vinegar mixture to react in the sink drain. The mixture will break through the walls of the innermost channel so that blockage or buildup does not occur there. While waiting to not get bored, you can rub the surface area of the sink with a sponge, especially on parts that look still have stains or rust.
  6. When the time is over, pour backwater into the area that has been cleaned
A pot of hot water can be used to rinse leftover baking soda and vinegar that has been mixed in the sink drain. If the vinegar smell still smells, rinse again with a pot of additional hot water. Look at the results of cleaning the sink that you have done.

Repeat two to three times from the 6 simple steps above for stubborn stains. Make sure you have chosen a modern design sink so that it is not easily clogged.
