Constraints That Often Occur On Taps And Their Solutions

17 March 2021

One of the bathroom products that we often use is tap water. Some sanitary utensils such as showers, sinks and bathtubs, of course, need taps to distribute water and clean body parts. This makes taps a very vital role in sanitation.

Unfortunately, due to the high intensity of using the tap, there are often problems with the tap, such as water not coming out, not being completely closed and emitting water droplets, to water that comes out of two directions.

To fix it, many people choose to use professional services so that things don't get out of control such as further damage. In fact, repair of taps can be done by yourself simply with work repair equipment that is commonly used in households. If you use faucet products from Germany Brilliant, here are the problems and solutions for fixing taps.

  1. Water dripping
This problem often occurs when the tap “leaks” and water keeps dripping even though the handle is completely closed. How to fix it:
  • First, find the valve or handle cover that is positioned behind or under the faucet. Open and loosen using the L key.
  • Once loose, unplug the mixer using a wrench.
  • Replace with a new mixer, insert and fasten it again using a mixer.
  • Close the handle again with an L key.

The dripping water problem occurs because the mixer is damaged. The mixer is the "heart" of the tap which functions to open and close the water. But no need to worry, Germany Brilliant provides a 5-year warranty, including for replacement of spare parts.
  1. Water is unfocused/divided
The flow of tap water for modern bathrooms is generally split in two, for a more flexible shower and a tap where the water drops down to fill a bucket or for ablution. Often when we open the tap for one part, the water comes out in both parts at once, not focusing on the part that we are open. Of course, this problem has often happened, right? How to handle it?
  • Open and loosen the valve or handle cover which is usually located behind or under the faucet.
  • Remove the tap switch using the L key or wrench.
  • Then replace it with a new switch. Close the tap again.
  • After the switch is replaced, the water flow will return to focus on flowing in one part only.
  1. Small running water
If the handle has been fully opened but the water that comes out is still small, it could be due to a build-up of dirt in the filter or filter. The solution:
  • Open and loosen the valve or bolt cover that is located behind or under the tap.
  • Open the tap and remove the strainer from the tap.
  • Dirt that has settled in the filter can be cleaned with running water. However, if the filter component of the filter is damaged, you should replace it with a new one.
  • Put the strainer in the tap and close it back to normal.

Water quality also affects the flow of water through the tap. It is often found that the water from the tap comes out tightly but over time becomes small. This is because the tap filter, which consists of 3 layers, filters dirt and moss mixed with water. The worse the water quality, the harder the filter works to filter the water before it passes through the tap.

Those are some of the problems that occurred on the faucet and how to fix them. Make sure to use sanitary products from Germany Brilliant, which provides a 5 years warranty on the replacement of spare parts.

Don't make the wrong choice. It must be GB!
