How to Overcome Clogged Toilets

28 January 2020

After defecating in the toilet, suddenly the water never receded. It is a sign that the toilet is blocked or clogged. Remember, you must stay calm. Do not panic!

First, identify the cause of clogged toilets. If the water used to flush dirt drops slowly into the hole, such conditions show that the toilet is not smooth. Allegedly there is dirt clogged in the toilet hole.

Do not flush water continuously because it will result in overflowing water from the toilet so that it is feared that it could pollute your bathroom floor. To overcome this, there are several ways you can do the following:

  1. Use special equipment

Some foreign toilet users usually use drain buster or plastic wrap to deal with clogged toilets. They cover the entire surface of the toilet so that it is airtight. Some tutorials for this method can be found on YouTube accounts that are trending.

In Indonesia, toilet users who experience blockages instead choose toilet suction devices such as plungers. The best suction tools of this type usually have a strong suction rubber or have extensions (toilet flange plunger). Strong rubber will not have an air gap so that the suction power can be maximized or function properly.

If the device is not effective, suctioning can also be done by using a drain cleaner or auger that can be purchased at hardware stores. This tool is commonly called a toilet snake because of the shape of a long coil of wire resembling a snake. This product design is also made like a cork stopper corkscrew at the end. After being inserted into the toilet hole, you can immediately turn the auger crank to extend the cable. Do it until the cable is stuck and cannot be stretched again. Turn the crank in the opposite direction to pull out the stopper dirt.

  2. Understand your toilet work system
Open the lid of the toilet tank and close the drain valve to the toilet body (flapper). Usually, this is a kind of plastic or rubber valve that can be lifted so that water can enter the toilet body. This valve is attached to a chain and to close it all you have to do is press it until it closes the drain to the toilet body.

  3. Call the suction lavatory
If you have done the steps above your toilet is still clogged, immediately contact the plumber, builder, or professional vacuum service. This is necessary if it turns out the blockage is not on the toilet, but in a full septic tank to suck up the deposition of sludge. Also, make sure you always use the Germany Brilliant smart toilet that is guaranteed because there are after-sales services that you can get.

It is also a good idea to make a warning in your bathroom not to throw anything in the toilet. Also, provide a trash can in the bathroom so that there is a suitable disposal area. Avoid creating unnecessary problems from the start. Remember, the toilet is a place to urinate, and defecate is not trash!

Some people who experience clogged toilets also often add salt or caustic soda to overcome the obstacles. Only technically this method is not appropriate because microbes will die and make a deadlock in the exhaust system that you have. Choose the right way so that your toilet is smoother.
