TIPS FOR CARING FOR YOUR SINK TO KEEP IT BEAUTIFUL

11 April 2024

Do you think that the soapy water used when washing your hands can also clean the sink? The answer is no. Soap waste used from washing hands can actually make the sink dirty if it is not cleaned immediately. What's more, if the sink is used regularly, it will more easily become a nest for disease and germs.

Therefore, the sink must be cleaned frequently and well maintained. How to?

1. Clean regularly

The first thing to do is clean the sink after every use. Apart from cleaning the tub, you need to regularly check the filter. This is done because there is a high possibility that there will be a lot of food remains or loose hair that can clog the sink.

It's easy, open the pop up afur and clean the filter. Then, also check the afur bottle and the bottom filter to clean. Usually, residual waste accumulates in this section. This is recommended to be done once a month to avoid blocked water flow.

The top of the afur also needs to be cleaned with liquid soap so that the remaining dirty waste is clean again, both on the inside and outside.

The sink body made of ceramic material needs to be cleaned with liquid soap. Apart from eradicating germs or bacteria, this is also done to clean water spots that stick to the sink body. For sinks made of glass, use glass cleaner to clean them so they can shine again.

When cleaning, both the sink body, sink and bottom filter, use a soft cloth or an old, soft-bristled toothbrush. Avoid using a wire sponge to avoid scratches, especially on the fur. Then, rinse using a soft cloth to ensure there is no soap residue attached.

2. Check the sink faucet

Apart from the sink body and channels, the important thing you need to do is check the sink faucet. If the tap is not functioning optimally, then the sink cannot be used optimally either.

Check the water filter or water tap filter. Don't let there be a lot of sand piled up so that the water doesn't flow optimally or becomes blocked. Also clean the water taps using an old toothbrush. Usually, soap residue and water spots stick to the tap lever. Also make sure the water tap is still securely attached to the sink to prevent leaks.

Lastly, don't forget to periodically check the tap stop and flexible parts. If the tap stops and flexible start to loosen, tighten them again to function optimally. Also make sure both are clean and shiny. Use an old toothbrush and liquid soap to clean it if both look dirty.
