Tips for Choosing Smart Toilets

22 November 2019

The sitting toilet is often called a smart toilet because there are many brilliant product innovations such as those produced by Germany Brilliant. The toilet is considered a place that is not only used to clean the body or remove dirt, a few millennial feels at home in the toilet just because there is a toilet seat that gives comfort. Usually, they take the time to read a book or watch YouTube while defecating on the toilet seat.

So you can do that safely, here are the guidelines for choosing the ideal smart toilet:

  • Measure the distance of the toilet drain (Roughing In)

Toilet channels should have been designed from the start. The toilet drain that is planted in the bathroom will insert a pipe to the septic tank. The distance of this drain hole to the bathroom wall must be adjusted to the needs.

  • See body

The toilet seat usually has one-piece and two-piece types. In plain view, the type of one piece is seen between the body and the attached toilet tank. Meanwhile, two pieces appear between the body and the separate tank. Especially for Smart Toilets generally, have a one-piece type.

  • Look carefully at the exhaust system

There is usually a choice of siphonic and wash down systems. The difference is the flow of water made. Siphonic system will make the water rise to the top first when pressed flush and then form a wave in the middle before the water is discharged into the drain. While the washdown system will immediately throw water into the drain when the flush is pressed.

  • Select Seat Cover

The fundamental difference is the way to close the toilet which consists of soft closing and regular closing. For soft-closing, there is a spring on the hinge so that the toilet will close automatically slowly. Furthermore, for regular closing there is no spring on the hinge, the user must be careful to close so that the seat cover does not slam. Usually, the cover on the smart toilet uses a remote / sensor.

  • Check the bidet

Some of the toilet seats are equipped with bidets and without bidets. If the toilet seat has a bidet, the user must ensure that the water pressure is strong. If in your toilet the water pressure is less tight, then choose the toilet without a bidet.

  • Try the flushing system

Options in the toilet seat are usually equipped with a single flush or dual flush. Single flush only has 1 choice when the user wants to rinse. When the flush is pressed, water will come out as much as the tank's capacity (4.5 liters). If the user chooses with dual flush, there are 2 choices that can be tailored to your needs and you can be sure to save more water. A smart flushing system toilet only presses the remote.

From the guide above, there are references to smart toilets which have always been Germany Brilliant best sellers this year. You can see the type of GBC IS007. This toilet has a wash down system specification with a two-piece toilet. The toilet seat is SNI standard, guaranteed and can withstand loads of up to 400 kilograms. You just need to adjust which one suits the size of the distance of the toilet seat sitting with the wall and the distance of the toilet drain to the prison pipe or septic tank.
