TYPES OF BATHROOM WASTE, WHICH DO YOU CHOOSE?

07 July 2023

One of the household furniture that has many functions is the sink. Like, used for washing hands and face, brushing teeth, washing small objects, or shaving beards.

Wastafel has two parts, a sink and faucet. Some types of sinks also have a mirror above them. This essential object can be placed in two places, outside and in the bathroom. However, before buying a sink, especially a bathroom sink, there are two things that need attention.

First, the materials used. There are many materials used for bathroom sinks. However, sinks with ceramic material are the most popular. This is because ceramic material is known as a material that is strong, durable, long lasting, and easy to care for. The price offered is quite diverse so that it can be adjusted to the household budget.

Second, the selected type. Various types of bathroom sinks are sold in the market. Some are placed on the table, attached to the bathroom wall, and equipped with a cabinet. Now, to make it easier for you to choose, here is a complete explanation of each type of bathroom sink!

1. Pedestal wastafel

The main feature of this sink is that it has a pedestal or supporting at the bottom of the sink. This type of sink is suitable for use if your bathroom space wants to look aesthetically pleasing. Unfortunately, this pedestal sink doesn't have room to place bathroom amenities above it.

2. Countertop wastafel

This type of sink is placed above the counter or vanity. You can choose various models of sinks that suit your bathroom design. This type is also equipped with a blank space (counter) to put bathroom fixtures.

3. Drop-in wastafel

Wastafel drop in is the opposite kind of countertop. This type has a sink tucked in the counter which has been perforated. Generally, this sink is divided into two more types, namely the edge of the sink is still visible above the counter and is inside the counter as a whole or referred to undermount. Sink type undermount is the most popular because it has a minimalist impression.

4. Wall-mount wastafel

This type of sink is usually attached to the bathroom wall in a hanging position so that it has free space at the bottom. The size does not take up much space and is suitable for small bathrooms.

5. Integrated wastafel

The integrated sink is a unique model. The reason is, the sink becomes one unit with the counter because it is made of the same material. Because the two are part of one part, the installation is easier than other types of sinks.

6. Cabinet wastafel

As the name implies, this type is divided into two parts, namely the sink and the cabinet. Generally, a cabinet or storage cupboard is located under the sink and aims to store various bathroom supplies, such as towels, soap, shampoo, and so on. Not infrequently this type is also equipped with a mirror above the sink.

Those are the types of sinks that can be used as an option for bathroom sinks. Which one do you choose?
