Regardless of the features offered, you need to be wise and careful in choosing a toilet. Don't let other important things be overlooked and result in the toilet not being able to be used for a long time. You also have to know in advance what things you need to pay attention to when buying a toilet.

Let’s take a look at the tips for choosing the correct and appropriate toilet seat below: Tips Choose the Closet

1. Selection of the right basic materials

In general, toilets use ceramic base materials that have been glazed. Choose quality and thick ceramics. This is because the weight of the toilet body itself will be influenced by the thickness of the base material used. Why does it have to be glazed? To give a shiny, elegant and hygienic impression.

2. The right size

The size of the toilet in the bathroom is also important. Don't let the position and size of the toilet make the bathroom narrower. Also pay attention to the AS hole distance. The way to measure the distance of a US hole is to calculate it from the wall to the center of the hole using a tape measure. The distance of the US holes also varies. Starting from 15 cm, 22 cm, 23 cm, 25 cm, 30 cm, and 50 cm. You also need to pay attention to the installation of dirty water pipes.

3. Type of toilet

Before buying, there are several types of toilets you need to know, such as:

  • One-piece closets

This is a type of toilet where when seen with the naked eye the water tank is integrated into the toilet body. Even though it is heavier and a little more expensive, this type of toilet has several advantages, such as being easy to install, not leaking easily and being easy to clean.

  • Two-piece closets

This type is the opposite of one-piece toilets, namely having a separate tank from the toilet body. The pipe part is hidden so it looks neater and easier to clean.

  • Wall-hung closets

The characteristic of this type of toilet is that it is attached and hangs to the wall and the tank is embedded in the wall. This hanging toilet is recommended for bathroom buildings that are not too large or have a minimalist style.

  • Smart closets

Currently there are also tankless smart toilets that use mechanical system technology. For example, using temperature on the toilet seat, a seat cover that has soft closing and automatic opening and closing, and automatic flushing.

The toilet flushing system is also divided into two types, namely single button flushing and dual flushing. Usually, toilets that have dual flushing use a water saving system so that for urination activities you can use the small flush button, while when defecating you can use the large flush button for flushing.

The toilet flushing system also consists of two concepts, namely wash down and cifonic. The wash down rotation system means that rinsing occurs directly from the water center and flows downwards, while in the cifonic concept the water center system rotates from top to bottom.

4. Design suitability

Make sure the toilet design you choose suits your bathroom. There are round and square toilets. Choose a toilet with minimal curves so that it is easy to clean between the toilets.

5. Availability of spare parts

Don't forget to ask for spare parts availability. Please note, toilets have various types of spare parts needed. If there is a problem with one of the parts and spare parts are not available, then the toilet will not function optimally.

6. Warranty and SNI

Also make sure that the toilet you choose has a guarantee and is certified to Indonesian National Standards (SNI). Both will benefit consumers. If problems occur, consumers can directly contact customer care via customer service and it is free of charge. The SNI certificate also makes consumers safer and more comfortable when using the product.

I hope it helps, yes!
