09 July 2023

Water faucets are an important part of the household sanitation system. Water faucets help us to control the flow and access of water easily.

However, if it is not installed properly, the dripping water that comes out of a leaky faucet can cause the water bill to swell. Therefore, the installation of water taps needs to be done properly so that no leaks occur.

Knowing how to install it will also be very useful when the faucet is damaged and needs to be replaced immediately. Moreover, if the leaking water faucet is a faucet in the bathroom or a dishwasher that is frequently used. This will interfere with bathing and washing dishes, right?Load, refer to the following instructions to make it easier to install a water faucet!

1. Clean the drains

The main thing that needs to be done before installing a water faucet is to clean the water channel. Run the water first to get rid of any dirt or waste left in the pipe.

2. Turn off the water flow

Then, turn off the water flow connected to the faucet so it doesn't go to waste. You can close this water flow by turning the water pipe clockwise. Be sure to do this carefully so you don't damage or break the pipe.

3. Adjust to size

If you want to install a new faucet, make sure the size used is correct. Generally, there are ½ inch and ¾ inch.

4. Install seal tape

The next step is to install seal tape on pipe drat. Wrap it up seal tape on all sections of pipe drat and make sure all the parts are tightly closed. This is useful for preventing future leaks.

"To anticipate leaks, use seal tape so that it doesn't loosen and as a seal so that water doesn't come out. Wrap the pipe threads as tightly as possible so that when you want to install the faucet it doesn't come loose," explained the GB Sanitaryware Supervisor (SPV), Sheila.

If you want to replace the old faucet and install seal tape new, make sure the remaining seal tape on the old faucet has been cleaned off!

5. Install the water faucet

After installing seal tape, we can directly install the water faucet. It's easy, put the tap on the pipe and turn it clockwise. If you are using a water faucet that uses bolts, make sure to tighten each bolt on the faucet holder. In installing this water faucet, make sure it is also installed firmly so that no leaks occur.

6. Test the water tap

Turn the water flow again and turn on the tap that was installed and see if the water flow is smooth. Also check if there is a leak in each part.

How? Easy or not? Good luck!
